Hacienda Cusin is a restored, early 19th. century country home of a successful farming family. The often more than two-day horse-ride from Quito encouraged visiting family and friends to extend their visits. Cusin became an informal hotel, a home, just as it is today. Christmas Eve fiesta: main garden patio cocktails, musicians & folklorica dance, choir, dinner with wine, from $45 per person. Breakfast is a waiter-served, traditional meal that includes fresh fruit juice, cereal, eggs and Cusin-made toast and jam. Lunch and dinner. Ecuadorian and international three-course menus offer daily changing choices of soup, salad, meat, fish and a vegetarian dishes followed by desert choices and coffee. Wine-list available. Café Cusin menu, smaller and less expensive, offers sandwiches, Ensalada de Cusin, an elaborate salad, soup, omelettes, etc. Drinks & coffee bar, near the dining room, with a roaring fireplace. Barbeques and dances, accompanied by folklorica music and dancing can be managed for 100 guests on Cusin’s main lawn. Weddings can be managed for up 200 guests
