We have stayed in Hacienda Cusin multiple times, and we absolutely adore the farm. I have never written a review before, but I felt compelled to do so after this last time we were there (early January).

I'll start by saying there is something magical about the grounds and surroundings; from the majestic Imbabura volcano and the glass-like waters of the San Pablo lake nearby, to the fresh and crisp mornings and cool mystic nights at the farm, to the stunning gardens and flora around, to the colorful garments the natives wear and sell at the Otavalo market...it's a unique and memorable experience that stays with you forever.

Even though the hacienda was built in the 1600s, the owner has done a beautiful job in keeping it in tip top shape. Both the owner (when he is there) and the staff do everything they can to make you feel welcome, at home and comfortable. The rooms are cozy, filled with art and antiques (as is the rest of the farm) and feel traditional to the area. The staff comes to your room at night to turn on the fire place and place a bag of hot water under the covers to keep you warm.

The rate includes breakfast, and the library has complimentary tea and coffee, which is really nice. We highly recommend this hacienda to all of our friends and family who plan to visit Ecuador. read less

Service in restaurant and bar a bit hectic.

The grounds, scenery, food, wine, and service were all top notch. It is clear that the management and staff are in the details to ensure a guest's experience is indeed a great one. We came as my mother had been here 3 or 4 times before and still raves about it. As they say "mother knows best" 🙂 read less
