In the Imbabura of the 1600s, King Philip II of Spain auctioned off to the highest bidder the 50,000 hectares where one of his many properties was located: Hacienda Cusin. Unknowingly, he had sold a gold mine, but of unsuspected wealth. In it, there was a dormant paradise, waiting to be awoken and show its treasures to whoever knew how to conjure them. Almost 400 years later, with the care and affection of the workers of the hacienda, they came to light:
