Since Cusin is only a few minutes north of the Equator, the climate at the hacienda is temperate year-round. The ‘summer’ season runs from July to September when it is drier and hotter, with excellent views of the surrounding mountains. October and November can be variable. Nights are chilly.

Daytime temperatures are around 18-20°C (64-68°F) and nighttime around 8-10°C (46-50°F).

What should I pack?

You should come prepared to experience “all the seasons in one day”, so bring light- weight shirts and trousers, plenty of warmer layers, rain coat, sun hat, warm hat. Always have a water bottle with you (since one dehydrates easily in the high altitudes of the Andes). See full Packing List.
