Our hacienda close to Otavalo

Hacienda Cusin is located under two hours’ drive north of Quito in the province of Imbabura, upon modern, new highways along constantly changing scenery. The province is named after the sometimes-snowcapped Imbabura Volcano that dominates the region. The grounds lie a short walk from the San Pablo lake and a short drive from the famous craft market of Otavalo.

Hacienda Cusin and Quito’s international airport are both located to the north of the city of Quito, connected by good, modern highways. Depending on the time of arrival, it is often faster to get to Cusin than to drive into the heart of the city of Quito, making a transfer to the hacienda before visiting the city a good option. The hacienda also makes the perfect post-Galápagos retreat, coming directly from and then back to the airport after your island flight.
